There are plenty of words that could describe how the last three games have gone for the Los Angeles Kings in their series against the Edmonton Oilers. However, looking forward to Game 6 their is really only one word to describe the Kings at this point and that is desperate.
After going up 2-0 in the series, the Kings would drop the next two games in Edmonton, even though both were very winnable. In each game, the Kings had the lead in the third period and in both games, that lead would disappear.
While the series was tied, the Los Angeles Kings should have felt good about the fact that they were returning to Crypto.com Arena and could once again regain the series lead where they have been very successful during the regular season. The Kings would score first, with Andrei Kuzmenko breaking the scoreless tie in the second period but then it was all Oilers as they would score the final three goals of the game.
The Kings now find themselves in a very tough spot as they could see their season come to an end in this game, which is a road game in Edmonton. If the Kings are going to win, they need to turn their fortunes around quickly and these are five players that need to have big games.
