The Los Angeles Kings are not only trying to put behind them a disappointing performance the night before against the San Jose Sharks but also their worst loss of the season last week against this same Vegas team. Last week, they would lose 6-1 after giving up three goals in the first period.

However, on Wednesday night Warren Foegele made it a point to not let that happen and was able to get the first goal of the game. It was not a typical goal but was only possible because of Foegele's effort.

The play started deep in the Kings' zone as Quinton Byfield tried to clear it and pass it up to Foegele. However, the pass was a little off the mark and Foegele would not be able to bring in the pass.

Ilya Samsonov would go to clear the puck by Foegele didn't give up on it and in almost one move, would intercept the pass before spinning around to put the puck in the net to give the Kings the 1-0 lead.

Warren Foegele has done a good job getting the puck in the net as he now has three goals in four games after scoring two goals in the home opener for the Los Angeles Kings last week.

Adrian Kempe wastes no time giving the LA Kings a 2-0 lead

While Warren Foegele would get the scoring started for the Kings, they wouldn't be done yet in the first period. In fact, it was only one second later that Adrian Kempe would give the Kings a 2-0 lead off a deep shot that appeared to deflect off a Golden Knights' defender.

Unlike Foegele, Kempe has not been able to score much as of late as he now has four goals on the season. However, this was his first goal in five games and hopefully is a sign of things to come.
