Throughout the 2000s, the Los Angeles Kings were searching for more consistency as a team, but the franchise still featured several talented wingers who provided offensive production, leadership, and excitement throughout the decade.

From a franchise icon like captain Dustin Brown to emerging scorers, the Kings got plenty of production on the wings in this transitional era in the franchise's history.

As part of this series where we rank the Kings position-by-position for each decade, we've already gone through the top three goalies and defensemen for Los Angeles from the 2000s. Up next is winger, and then we'll round out this decade with the center position.

Los Angeles Kings leaned on elite scorers and emerging stars on the wing throughout the 2000s

Winger was the toughest list to put together so far for the Kings in this series for the 2000s decade, with players like Luc Robitaille making this a difficult top three to rank.

Here's a ranking of the three best Kings' wingers of the 2000s decade.

3. Dustin Brown

Franchise legend and longtime Kings' captain Dustin Brown quickly became one of the faces of the organization in the mid-2000s. After making an immediate impact on the team in his full rookie season after the lockout in 2005-26, Brown went on to become a consistent 20-goal scorer and a leader on and off the ice for the Kings.

In the last three seasons of this decade, Brown registered back-to-back-to-back 20-goal and 50-point campaigns. He posted the only 30-goal season of his NHL career in 2007-08.

For his compete level on both sides of the ice, physicality, and vocal leadership on and off the ice, Brown was named the Kings' captain in 2008. Just two years later, he helped lead the Kings back to the postseason for the first time in over five seasons in 2009-10.

The 2000s decade saw Brown develop from a younger and emerging scorer to a franchise cornerstone and the captain for the Kings that led Los Angeles to win two Stanley Cups in the following decade.

It's not a knock against Robitaille that he didn't make this top three ranking, he's still the best winger in franchise history for the Kings. Robitaille built most of his Hall-of-Fame resume before the start of the 2000s decade with the Kings.
