2. Jonathan Quick
Any list that discusses the best goalies of this past couple of decades for the Kings has to include two-time Stanley Cup Champion and future Hall-of-Famer Jonathan Quick.
If this was a list of the best Kings' goalies of the 2010s decade, Quick would easily be the top choice for the ranking. Quick was the Kings' emerging franchise goalie in the late 2000s decade, still making an impact on the team early in his career
He helped to power the emergence of the Kings as a real dark horse contender in the Western Conference in the late 2000s. Quick became a starting goalie for the first time in his career in the 2008-09 season.
In the following 2009-10 season, Quick was a major factor in getting the Kings over the hump and into the postseason for the first time in eight years (since the 2001-02 season with Potvin).
Even though Quick only started for a couple of years in the late 2000s, his impact was still felt on the franchise from the very start of his journey as a starting goalie in Los Angeles in the 2008-09 season. He tied Potvin for the most wins of any Kings' goalie in the 2000s decade.
Most of Quick's legacy as a Kings' legendary goalie lives in the 2010s, but his emergence late in the decade laid the foundation for the most successful era in LA franchise history.
