Los Angeles Kings latest round of roster moves included Liam Greentree
The Los Angeles Kings continue to make preparations ahead of the regular season and that includes trimming down their roster. On Thursday, they announced the latest rounds of those roster moves including some of the recent draft picks.
The Kings announced the following five players had been re-assigned to their junior teams starting with Liam Greentree. He was the team's first round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and after playing in all three games for the Rookie Faceoff, Greentree played in the first preseason game.
In addition to Greentree, the Kings also re-assigned goalie Carter George, who was selected in the second round of the 2024 NHL draft. George would get a chance to play in each of the first two preseason games and finished with 16 saves on 18 shots.
The Kings would also re-assign two defensemen, Matthew Mania, who was the fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, and Jared Woolley, who was the sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, to their respective junior teams.
In addition to the four draft picks that were re-assigned, the team also announced they released Arvid Caderoth, who was signed to an amateur tryout contract. Caderoth played for the Kings during the Rookie Faceoff, and even had a goal late in their game against the Utah Hockey Club, and continued with the team through training camp.
