The Los Angeles Kings have been playing some of their best hockey as of late and it was reflected in this week's power rankings. The Kings currently have their longest win streak of the season at four and it is not even the fact that they have won four in a row but who they have beaten.

It started last week against the Winnipeg Jets, in a game that looked to be unlikely for them to win based on the fact they gave up five goals in the third period to the San Jose Sharks in their game prior to that one. However, they didn't let the disappointment from that game linger and jumped out to an early lead over the Jets and cruised to a 4-1 victory.

After wins over the Anaheim Ducks and Ottawa Senators, the Kings got another quality win over the Dallas Stars, who were 16-8 entering the game on Wednesday night. The Kings would give up two first period goals but were able to turn it around and score three straight goals to close out the game to win 3-2.

The Kings face another big test on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild before a seven-game road trip. This will be another good test for the Kings and if they continue winning, it wouldn't be surprising to see them near the Top 5 in most power rankings next week.

This is a recap of where the Kings currently sit in power rankings on ESPN, Bleacher Report and NHL.com.

ESPN

Current Ranking: 9
Previous Ranking: 11

Of the three publications, ESPN had the Los Angeles Kings ranked the highest last week at 11 so they didn't move up that much.

Bleacher Report

Current Ranking: 9
Previous Ranking: 14

Bleacher Report has the Los Angeles Kings ranked the same as ESPN in this ninth spot and were one of the biggest movers up in this week's edition. Another team that had a similar jump was the Dallas Stars, going from eighth to third, who the Kings just secured a win over meanwhile their opponent this weekend currently sits in first place.

NHL.com

Current Ranking: 10
Previous Ranking: 16

The Los Angeles Kings were about to drop out of NHL.com's power rankings, which ranks the Top 16 teams in the NHL. However, a strong week has gotten them right back in the middle of these power rankings sitting at 10.
