Hampton Slukynsky helps Western Michigan win a Frozen Four title
Saturday was not only memorable for Carter George as the LA KIngs had another goalie prospect in a key moment in their career. Hampton Slukynsky was a fourth round pick by the Kings in the 2023 NHL Draft and has played at the collegiate level the past two seasons.
This season, Slukynsky was one of the best goalies in the NHL and helped the team not only reach the championship game but win the title in the school's first trip to the Frozen Four. The Broncos would play the Boston University Terriers and go on to win 6-2.
Slukynsky struggled a bit early on and at one point midway through the second period, the Broncos were only up 3-2. However, Slukynsky settled down in the net and the Broncos scored four unanswered to get the win.
It was a special win that Hampton spoke about after the game as he got to not only play with his brother but win a championship with him.
WATCH: "It's really special to share this with him, and we're just fortunate to be part of this team."

Between Slukynsky, George, and Erik Portillo the Los Angeles Kings have to feel great about the future of this position.
