The Los Angeles Kings brought Warren Foegele in as a free agent last offseason and in his first season with the franchise made an immediate impact. He has already looked like a bargain and is under contract for two more seasons. Let's take a look back at this past year and give a grade for his performance.
What helped Warren Foegele's grade
It was almost a seamless transition for Warren Foegele into the Kings offense and he would finish with career highs in goals (24), assists (22), points (46), and +/- (+36). In fact that +/- was tied for the fourth best in the NHL.
In terms of the goals, what was more impressive was how timely the goals were as he would be tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with seven.
During the season, Trevor Moore had this to say about Foegele and he couldn't be more right:
I think this is one of my favorite quotes of the year, from Trevor Moore on his linemate, Warren Foegele.

"I think if you were to build a Kings player in a lab, it would look something like Warren Foegele."

What hurt Warren Foegele's grade
As good as the season was, there is no hockey player that is perfect and his playoff performance against former team pulls down his grade. He finished with only one goal and two assists in six games with a shot percentage of only 4%.
Grade for Los Angeles Kings forward Warren Foegele: A
It was almost a perfect season from Warren Foegele and would be one of the best moves former general manager Rob Blake made over the last calendar year. The average annual value of $3.5 million makes Foegele one of the biggest bargains in the NHL when considering what he brings.
He was a big reason for why the LA Kings were so successful during the regular season and should be another big part of their offense next season.
