Two Los Angeles Kings defensemen, Joel Edmundson and Kyle Burroughs, have missed time recently in practice for the team and the preseason this past week due to various reasons, including an upper-body injury. Burroughs originally suffered an upper-body injury on a blocked shot in the Kings' preseason game earlier this week (Sep. 30) against the Utah Mammoth.
Status updates for Joel Edmundson and Kyle Burroughs for the Los Angeles Kings before the regular season opener next week vs. Colorado
Burroughs was a scratch for head coach Jim Hiller and the Kings in their most recent preseason game on the road against the Mammoth on Oct. 2.
Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported before the preseason finale against the Ducks on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 4) that Edmundson is "good to go" for the Kings' game today.
No update on Kyle Burroughs. Will be out for a while.

Burroughs is expected to be out "for a while" for the Kings. He also missed practice for the Kings on Wednesday and Thursday earlier this week.
In place of the injured Burroughs on the Kings' blue line, defenseman Jacob Moverare is expected to be in the lineup against the Ducks this afternoon in the preseason finale.
Burroughs had played every other preseason game for the Kings this fall before the Sep. 30 matchup against the Mammoth in Boise earlier this week. He scored two assists and two total points in five preseason games for the Kings this fall.
Edmundson missed practice due to "maintenance" reasons won Wednesday (Oct. 1). It sounds like the entire Kings' team got a rest from practice on Friday (Oct. 3) and going into the preseason finale on Oct. 4 at home at Crypto.com Arena against the crosstown foe Anaheim on Saturday.
*Update
Edmundson is active in the lineup today for the Kings in the preseason finale for the blue line group on defense against the Ducks at Crypto Arena. This is the second game this preseason this fall that Edmundson has played for the Kings.
