The former Los Angeles Kings general manager, Rob Blake, made a great-value signing by adding left-wing Warren Foegele in free agency last offseason in 2024. Foegele is getting paid a little over $3 million in average annual value for his three-year contract, which is an absolute bargain for his production with the Kings this past season.

Things couldn't have gone much better for Foegele in his first season with the Kings this past season. He posted career highs in goals (24), assists (22), points scored (46), and plus/minus rating (+36). The 29-year-old winger gave the Kings exactly what they needed up front with the top nine forward core.

Warren Foegele 2024-25 Los Angeles Kings player season recap

2024-25 season stats: 82 games played, 24 goals, 22 assists, 46 points, +36

2024-25 advanced stats: 12.1 shooting %, 9.9 5-on-5 shooting %, 2.1 points/60, 6.2 point shares, 2.4 WAR

2024-25 possession metrics (with Kings): 54.4 CF%, 55.3 SCF%, 102.5 PDO, 57.8 HDCF%

Foegele was arguably one of the best-value free agent signings last offseason for the Kings. Not only did he score over 20 goals for the second time in his career for the Kings, but he also registered career highs in game-winning goals (seven) and blocked shots (40).

The production Foegele brought translated in multiple areas of the game for the Kings and head coach Jim Hiller last regular season in the Pacific Division. Foegele led the Kings in high-danger unblocked scoring chances and third-period on-ice shooting percentage (per Money Puck) this past regular season.

Foegele's combination of speed, size, and production around the goal became a reliable third-line source of offense and two-way proficiency for Hiller and the Kings' staff last season. He scored one goal and two assists for the Kings in the playoffs.
