The expectations were sky-high for Los Angeles Kings left-winger Trevor Moore this past season in the Pacific Division. Coming off a 30-goal and 57-point season for the Kings and head coach Jim Hiller in the 2023-24 regular season for LA, Moore was expected to take his game to another level again in the 2024-25 campaign.
A slow start to the last regular season, where Moore scored just one goal in the season's first dozen games early on, slowed his goal-scoring momentum from the previous year for the Kings. Due to a combination of a slow start and injury issues, Moore was slow to start the first half of the regular season this past year for the Kings and Hiller.
In the season's final three months, Moore really found his groove scoring the puck for the Kings. He scored a dozen goals in the season's final 31 games for the Kings in the Pacific Division.

Trevor Moore 2025-26 Los Angeles Kings season preview
Moore is going into the third year of a five-year contract he signed with the Kings a few years ago, worth around $4 million in average annual value. If he can maintain a 45 or 50-point pace for the Kings top-nine forward core going into this upcoming season, that is a reasonable expectation for him given his contract price with a smaller cap hit just north of $4 million this year.
Expect Moore to play key bottom-six minutes for the Kings' forward core alongside center Phillip Danault and either veteran winger Corey Perry or Warren Foegele. He should also continue to play a crucial role with the Kings' penalty kill unit along with Danault. Moore will be 30 years old going into the upcoming 2025-26 regular season.
