There is not much debate in terms of who is the greatest goaltender in franchise history for the Los Angeles Kings. That title belongs to Jonathan Quick, who spent his first 16 seasons in the NHL with the Kings, and owns almost all franchise records in terms of goaltending.
However, on Friday night Darcy Kuemper accomplished something that Quick was never able to do and it just highlights how good Kuemper has been as of late. After the Kings' overtime win over the Jets, the Los Angeles Kings PR tweeted out that Kuemper is now the fourth goaltender in franchise history with a point in 10 consecutive appearances.

The last goaltender to accomplish this was all the way back in the 1992-93 season by Robb Stauber.
Darcy Kuemper has been locked in for the Los Angeles Kings since returning from injured reserve
The start of the season wasn't ideal for Kuemper as he would land on the injured reserve twice in the first three months of the season. However, he would return on December 7th against the Minnesota Wild which was the first game of this incredible streak.
Since that game, he has gone 9-0-2 and has allowed one goal or fewer in six of the 10 games. The last three games in particular have been really remarkable as he had a shutout victory over the New Jersey Devils while holding the Lightning and Jets to only one goal each, who rank first and third in the NHL in goals per game respectively.
On the season, Darcy Kuemper has now improved to 12-2-5 with a save percentage of .919 and a goals against average of 2.16. This is his best season totals since the 2021-22 season with the Colorado Avalanche when he had a save percentage of .921 and a goals against average of 2.54.
That season is notable because the Avalanche would go on to win the Stanley Cup and Kuemper was a big reason for that. The Los Angeles Kings are hoping that they can have a similar result with Kuemper in net.
