On Saturday afternoon, the Los Angeles Kings and general manager Ken Holland concluded the 2026 NHL Draft with a class that includes 11 selections, highlighted by first-round pick and Swedish winger Elton Hermansson.

Holland and the Kings' front office addressed several roster and organizational needs in this draft, but there are still some opportunities to add depth and underrated value before development camp begins this upcoming week. Each year, a few undrafted prospects earn contracts and can eventually work their way into NHL careers.

Development camp is approaching, and these undrafted prospects could be ideal fits for the Los Angeles Kings

With development camp beginning early this upcoming week for the Kings, now is the perfect time to look deeper at what potential organizational needs remain and whether any of the undrafted prospects from this draft class are worth taking a second look at this offseason.

Here are five undrafted prospects after the 2026 NHL Draft that the Kings should take a deeper look at this offseason.

Jakub Frolo, C (Ilves, Liiga)

Purely from a production and experience standpoint, Czech forward Jakub Frolo is someone who generated buzz as a potential middle or later-round pick in the draft this weekend. Frolo was rated by NHL Central Scouting as one of the 40 best international skaters in the 2026 draft class, thanks to his combination of physical tools, hockey IQ, and his non-stop motor on both ends of the ice.

Frolo isn't the flashiest player, but he is a consistently reliable two-way forward who brings a good combination of size and physicality at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds. He should be able to fit a specific role of a two-way versatile forward who can be a middle or bottom-six player if he reaches his potential in a couple of years.
