The 2025 NHL Draft is quickly approaching and this is the time where trade discussions will pick up and it wouldn't be surprising to see the Los Angeles Kings be one of the more active teams on this front. They want to be aggressive this offseason and put together a Stanley Cup contending roster.
While the Kings don't have their second-round pick this year, which they traded in last year's NHL Draft to the Tampa Bay Lightning for Tanner Jeannot, it wouldn't be surprising to see them include some picks in a trade package to bring back an impact player.
With that in mind, these are five players that the Los Angeles Kings could trade before or during the NHL Draft this year.
Jordan Spence
The one player who has been rumored the most to this point has been Jordan Spence, and he should generate plenty of interest around the league. He is a young defenseman who has already played in 180 games and is coming off a season where he averaged 16:47 of ice time.
Spence has one more year on his contract before he is set to be a restricted free agent, and with an AAV of $1.5 million he wouldn't impact a team's cap space that much. Of the four players on this list, Spence is probably the most likely to be traded before the end of the NHL Draft.
