At this point of the offseason, it seems like the first move that Ken Holland will make as general manager of the Los Angeles Kings will be on the defense. The biggest decision that he has to make is whether or not he Vladislav Gavrikov gets to free agency or he is re-signed to a new contract to return to the Kings.

However, that might not be the only move, as there are reports that Jordan Spence could be available in a trade. The reasoning is that Spence and Brandt Clarke are too similar in their style of play, and it is tough to get the ice time they need to make an impact.

If Spence is available, there should be plenty of teams interested in trading for him. He is a young defenseman who moves the puck well and still has one year left on his contract before becoming a restricted free agent.

For the Kings, this might be a chance to create a package that includes Spence to add a big-time addition that can help them reach that next level.

These are four trade packages with Jordan Spence that can achieve that for the Los Angeles Kings.
