Adrian Kempe
At the top of the list should be Adrian Kempe, who seems to only be getting better and is in the prime of his career. He has 35 or more goals in three of the past four seasons while surpassing 70 points for the second consecutive year with 73 this season after 75 last season.
As much as the Kings have struggled against the Oilers in the playoffs, Kempe has not been one of those players and has delivered. In the past three series, Kempe has had 13 goals in 17 playoff games with another 10 assists on top of that.
The challenge for the Kings is that Kempe is entering the final year of his contract this upcoming season. They should already be thinking about a contract extension for their star forward this offseason and shouldn't waste much time past July 1st to get that done.
Kempe is probably the most important player in terms of keeping that core in place for the Los Angeles Kings or Ken Holland will have alot more work to do to replace a player of his caliber.
