For a while, Rob Blake was running the LA Kings as general manager and was responsible for putting the best team on the ice. He certainly has made some great moves during that period, recently with the addition of Warren Foegele and Darcy Kuemper.
With Ken Holland taking over as the new general manager, let's take a look at three players who have had great success with their new teams. However, not all success is the same and of those three players there are only two they wish they could bring back while one probably still wouldn't work on the LA Kings.
Brock Faber work look great on this LA Kings defense
The Los Angeles Kings would draft Brock Faber in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft and he would never reach the NHL with the Kings. He would end up being traded about two years later to the Minnesota Wild in the trade that brought them Kevin Fiala.
There is no question that Fiala has been a great player for the Kings and the trade was not necessarily a bad trade for Los Angeles. However, Faber has gone on to put together a great start to his NHL career with 76 points in 162 regular season games.
Faber would receive an eight year contract extension last offseason and is the highest paid defenseman on the Wild. It remains to be seen if the Kings would have been in a position to offer a similar contract but in terms of the player, he would definitely been a great addition for this roster.
