Jim Hiller and the Los Angeles Kings (5-3-4) must come up with a good response after a wild shootout loss this past Thursday (Oct. 30) against the Detroit Red Wings. The Kings welcome tonight the New Jersey Devils (8-3-0), who are winless on their Western Conference road trip this week.
Injury status updates for the Los Angeles Kings for Warren Foegele and Trevor Moore
While the Kings have won four of its past six games, it still hasn't won a game at home at Crypto Arena early this regular season. The Kings getting points in seven games in a row has been largely thanks to this team's ability to come back late in games in the third period in clutch time.
But the Kings inability to play a complete 60-minute game on the ice this season has also cost them in terms of success in the win column and in the standings early this regular season.
These updates to the Kings' injury situation up front comes as the team placed defenseman Kyle Burroughs on waivers in a pretty surprising move for LA's front office on Saturday.
Here are two key injury updates for the Kings going into the Nov. 1 matchup at home at Crypto.com Arena against the Devils.
Warren Foegele, W
It looks like forward Warren Foegele is expected to miss the third game consecutively for the Kings tonight against the Devils at home. Foegele has been out with an upper-body injury since late in the Kings' five-game road trip in the West this past week.
Indications have pointed to Foegele missing some time for the Kings due to the upper-body injury he suffered this past weekend on the road against the Chicago Blackhawks.
It was announced today that the Kings placed Foegele on injured reserve, dating back retroactively to Oct. 26.
Trevor Moore, W*
Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Nov. 1 that the Kings are "expecting" to get Moore back in the lineup tonight against New Jersey after he missed the Oct. 30 game at home against the Red Wings from Detroit. Moore missed the Kings' game on Thursday against the Red Wings due to "personal reasons".
In Moore's absence in the lineup on Thursday this week, the Kings played defenseman Jacob Moverare on the active roster against the Red Wings. Moverare played his first game of this regular season this past Thursday for the Kings.
Moore has scored three goals and four total points in 11 games played for the Kings this fall in the regular season.
