8. Brock England, C (Seattle, WHL)
Brock England has been a thrill to watch with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL in this past year or so. England made a big splash in the WHL right from the get-go of his rookie campaign, where he reached the 20-goal mark in just 50 games played.
He's a naturally gifted skater and he uses his speed and agility to create high-danger scoring opportunities and to find open teammates in the offensive zone and coming in off the rush in transition.
England combines excellent skating ability with playmaking with the puck on his stick and an underrated physical game that set him apart as one of the top centers early on in the 2027 draft class this summer.
7. Carter Meyer, C (USNTDP)
In the U-18 age group, Carter Meyer is among the top forwards in the USA. He was Team USA's No. 1 center in his age group this past year after he got the call from the U-17 team this past season.
Meyer is a versatile and physical center with an excellent compete level on both sides of the ice. He excels in puck battles on the boards, getting physical in front of the net, and pushing opposing players off the puck in the defensive zone and in transition.
In the offensive zone, Meyer impressed with his hands and ability to work in the tighter areas to create scoring opportunities. His versatility and compete level in all three zones make Meyer a high-floor prospect who could be picked in the lottery in the 2027 draft in the first round.
6. Sergei Skvortsov, W (Chaika Nizhny Novgorod, MHL)
Playing against decent competition in the MHL this past season, winger Sergei Skvortsov turned heads with his offensive production and skill, scoring nearly 20 goals and 43 total points in just 52 games played. Skvortsov has gained attention recently from NHL scouts thanks to his combination of offensive skill, skating ability, and hockey IQ on both sides of the ice.
In terms of pure skill and offensive ability, Skvortsov is one of the top wingers in this draft class. His offensive game and stickhandling profiles as one of the most skilled offensive playmakers you'll find in this draft class.
