The Los Angeles Kings made only one trade ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline that will hopefully help an offense that has been struggling. They would agree to a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers for forward Andrei Kuzmenko, who was traded by the Calgary Flames to the Flyers only about a month prior.
In addition to Kuzmenko, the Kings would acquire a seventh round draft pick in the upcoming NHL Draft, which will be held in Los Angeles this year. In return, the Kings would send a third round pick from the 2027 NHL Draft.
After the NHL Trade Deadline, the Kings now seven draft picks in the upcoming NHL Draft with the extra seventh round pick. The only round they currently don't have any picks is the second round after they traded that pick ahead of the NHL Draft last year for Tanner Jeannot.
In 2026, the Kings still have all their draft picks and the following year they still have all their picks except for that third round pick.
Leading up to the NHL Trade Deadline, there were rumors that the Los Angeles Kings were considering trading their first round pick. It certainly wouldn't have been surprising if they were able to add a difference maker however that trade never came to fruition.
