The Los Angeles Kings and head coach Jim Hiller were shorthanded on the forward lines on Oct. 30 at Crypto.com Arena at home against the Detroit Red Wings from the Eastern Conference. One notable forward was missing from the Kings' lineup on Thursday night against the Red Wings, winger Trevor Moore.
Forward Trevor Moore out for the Los Angeles Kings vs. Detroit due to "personal reasons"
Moore was not listed on the official roster lines for the Kings in tonight's matchup against the Red Wings at home. It was later announced on the game's broadcast that Moore was out due to "personal reasons" for the Kings tonight vs. Detroit at Crypto Arena.
The Kings were already short on depth up front on the forward lines after winger Warren Foegele suffered an upper-body injury in LA's road win over the Chicago Blackhawks this past weekend at the United Center.
In Moore's absence, Hiller and the Kings played with seven defensemen and 11 forwards in the starting lineup tonight. Defenseman Jacob Moverare was the Kings' seventh defenseman tonight, playing his first game of the season for LA this fall.
Moore has scored three goals and four total points for the Kings this regular season in 11 games played. He scored the eventual game-tying goal for the Kings in the shootout loss this past week on Oct. 25 on the road against the Nashville Predators.
Here's what the Kings' forward lines look like for tonight's matchup against the Red Wings at Crypto Arena with Moore out of the lineup.
Kuzmenko - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Perry
Laferriere - Danault - Armia
Malott - Turcotte
The Kings are coming off a five-game road trip where the team got nine out of a possible 10 points, including winning two straight in regulation this past week against the San Jose Sharks and the Blackhawks in Chicago. LA has a record of 5-3-3 going into the matchup at home on Oct. 30 against the Red Wings.
