The Los Angeles Kings were able to avenge one of their losses from earlier this season with a 5-2 victory over the Ottawa Senators. This win not only put the 8-7 overtime loss from October in the rearview but also gave them their first three-game win streak of the season.

It was a somewhat slow start to the game as it was tied at one after the first period and two after the second period before the Kings pulled away in the third. Anze Kopitar was able to give the Kings the lead early in the third period before a power play goal and then an empty net goal to finish up the scoring in the final period.

These were three players on the Los Angeles Kings who stood out in this game based on Game Score from Hockey Stat Cards and played a big role in the team securing the win.

Kevin Fiala

Game Score: 2.91

Kevin Fiala might have had his best game of the season and everyone seemed to take notice. He had the best game score of any Los Angeles Kings and well above his average of 0.65. In this game, Fiala had a goal in the second period that got the Kings back to even with the Senators and then had a beautiful assist to Adrian Kempe on the power play in the third period.

After the game, Jim Hiller said that Fiala "was the most dangerous player on the ice" and it is hard to argue with that assessment after the game he had.

Anze Kopitar

Game Score: 2.22

Even at 37 years old, Anze Kopitar continues to play incredible hockey and his production hasn't slipped much at all. In the game against Ottawa, he had one goal and one assist and now has had two points in four of the last five games.

It wasn't just the goal but when Kopitar was able to score it as he did it early in the third period and it really helped set the tone for the remainder of the period.

Alex Laferriere/Phillip Danault

Game Score: 2.12

Alex Laferriere wasted no time extending his point streak to three games as he had a goal in the first two minutes of the game on a puck that deflected off the Senators and snuck by Anton Forsberg.

The line of Kevin Fiala, Alex Laferriere, and Phillip Danault (who also had a Game Score of 2.12) was arguably the best for the Kings all night. That hasn't always been the case and these three seem to be feeding off each other.
