While most Los Angeles Kings fans will want to forget the final result from these latest playoffs, which ended with a first-round exit by the Edmonton Oilers, there was at least one memory that fans can look back on fondly. That was the Star Spangled Banner performance by the Koreatown Senior and Community Center of Los Angeles.

It wasn't the first time they performed the national anthem, as they did it during the regular season back in March of that season. However, it was such a hit that the Kings brought them back for the playoffs, and there were some who even believed it brought the team luck.

They would perform for both home games to begin the series against the Edmonton Oilers. There certainly might have been truth to them being good luck as the Kings would win both games and go up 2-0 in the series. After dropping two games in Edmonton, Los Angeles needed all the luck they could get and brought them back for Game 5, but it wasn't enough as the Kings lost that game before losing the series in Game 6.

Los Angeles Kings had some incredible performances this past season for the national anthem

While the Koreatown Senior and Community Center of Los Angeles Harmonica Group generated the headlines, there were some excellent performances of the Star Spangled Banner that the Kings put together recently in a Top 5 video.

There should be no surprise that the Koreatown Senior and Community Center of Los Angeles were number one but there was also Mariachi Los Toros and Austin Gatus playing saxophone.

The magic might have run out for Game 5 but the Los Angeles Kings absolutely need to bring this group back for another performance, hopefully as early as the regular season opener against the Colorado Avalanche at Crypto.com Arena.
