Forbes and The Hockey News both recently released updated valuations in the league this regular season, comparing and ranking all 32 franchises in the NHL this year. The Kings ranked among the five most valuable big-market franchises in the league in the NHL for 2026 this year.
The Hockey News' Graeme Roustan published updated valuations for every franchise in the league in the NHL this regular season. The Kings franchise was valued this year at $3.5 billion, which puts LA in the position to be tied with some of the top five or 10 most valuable teams in the league this regular season, including the Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, and Chicago Blackhawks.
The Kings are also close to the valuation of the top three teams in the league this year, falling just $0.25 billion behind the Canadiens in the top three in Montreal.
