The Los Angeles Kings have had some notable jersey and color combinations over the years. The biggest change was going from the Forum Blue and Gold to the Silver and Black in the late 1980s around the time Wayne Gretzky joined the team.
While everyone has a preference in terms of what jersey or color combination they prefer, fans can all agree that the worst might be the Burger King jersey from the mid 1990s.

There were plenty of questionable choices along the way that made this jersey so bad that it has become a cult classic for fans. Whether it is the weird swoosh across the jersey or making the King's beard on the front purple, it comes together for an awful jersey that fans just can't help but love.
LA Kings' jersey has a connection to the New England Patriots
This jersey has an interesting connection to the New England Patriots, as the person who designed the Kings' head was Ken Loh, who would also design the latest Patriots logo that is still used today, according to The Royal Half.
However, the design was changed prior to reaching the jersey as the Kings' reportedly were sensitive to the idea of being an older team. That was why they went with the purple instead of the gray for the beard, as mentioned in the article on The Royal Half.
LA Kings would wear this jersey during the 1995-96 season, but it has reappeared from time to time
The Kings would wear the alternate jersey only during the 1995-96 season, and according to Royal Half wore it for eight games. However, it is something that fans gravitate to still to this day, and the Manchester Monarchs, the AHL affiliate for the Kings at the time, would have a Burger King night during the 2013-14 season.
They would wear the jerseys for their game against the Portland Pirates and go on to win the game in overtime by a final score of 3-2.
The Burger King jersey likely won't see another NHL game but Kings' fans will keep it's memory alive.
