Anton Forsberg and the Kings' defense can give the Avalanche a good fight this series on both sides of the ice

Coming into this game in the pregame betting odds and the betting spread in the money line in the West, the Kings did a good job of keeping this game close on the scoreboard. Anton Forsberg did a great job in the goal for the Kings yesterday, stopping over 25 shots and making double-digit saves in the game's final 30 minutes in the middle frame in the second period and the final frame.

The Kings put up a fantastic fight on the ice and on the scoreboard against the Avs in Game 1 in the postseason in the playoffs this spring this past weekend on Sunday afternoon in the West. When the Avalanche took a 1-0 lead on the scoreboard, Smith and the Kings' coaching staff pushed back on the ice in the middle frame in the second period and in the final frame in clutch time.

It was noted yesterday on the ice that the Kings actually had the edge in 5-on-5 expected goals percentage and medium and high-danger scoring opportunities around the net offensively in the zone.

Forsberg and the Kings made a late push on the scoreboard and on the ice in the final frame in the third period yesterday vs. Colorado. The Kings and Forsberg defensively in the zone need more help and run support from the offense and get more around the net scoring the puck yesterday from the top core lines group in the active roster lineup.
