Offense lets down the Kings again on the scoreboard

The game's only goal on the scoreboard was scored on special teams on the power play on the 5-on-4 man advantage top unit by Artemi Panarin late in the final frame in the third period in clutch time yesterday. Panarin has kept the Kings alive on the ice and on the scoreboard in the game in the final frame in the third period for the last two consecutive games in the West vs. Colorado this past week.

In the opening frame in the first period and in the middle frame on the ice yesterday, the Kings were matching on both sides of the ice and offensively in the zone that Colorado had in terms of medium and high-danger chances scoring the puck yesterday.

"We had some guys that were in alone. I thought we really had the momentum in overtime; we were out-changing them at that point. Then, maybe a bad bounce, or a turnover, whatever, it ends up in your net. To a man, this team is playing hard, and we got to find a way to win, though. Yeah, they’re a good team, but we’ve just got to do what we do. I expect us to play two good games here, and I expect that we’ll be better at home."

The Kings couldn't hold onto the lead on the scoreboard late in the final frame in the third period in clutch time. Colorado matched Panarin's goal on the scoreboard in the game's final minutes in the final frame in the third period yesterday.
