The LA Kings brought in more depth for the forwards this offseason with the addition of Corey Perry and Joel Armia. However, that might not be the only change Jim Hiller and the Kings should consider and it will start with their top forward duo.

Over the years, the Kings have made changes to their lines but one constant has been Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe together, going back to the 2020-21 season. These two have been very productive regardless of who the third player is with them but with Kopitar potentially entering the final season of his career, the Kings need to think about the future but also the present.

At this stage of his career, Kopitar is no longer the best center on the Los Angeles Kings and it is a title that Quinton Byfield appeared to claim in the second half of last season. He is clearly their center for the future and should lean on him more beginning this season.

While it could be easy to just switch Kopitar with Byfield on that top line, a significant shift like this could give the Kings' coaching staff a chance to try some different lines. If they go that route, these are some lines that could maximize the group of forwards they have.

What could the LA Kings forward lines look like with bold changes next season?
