For the third time in this redraft, we have the same player going to the same team with winger Dustin Brown 13th overall in the lottery in the first round from 2003. Brown became a franchise cornerstone player for the Kings in the 2000s and 2010s decades.
Brown helped the Kings win the franchise's two Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014. He was also the Kings' captain for nearly a decade (from 2008-2016), before Anze Kopitar took the reigns as LA's captain in the late 2010s decade.
Seeing that Brent Seabrook helped the Chicago Blackhawks win multiple Stanley Cups during his time in the Windy City in the 2010s decade, and he was the key defensive pairing alongside Hall-of-Famer Duncan Keith, I think it makes sense to keep him here at No. 14 in the first round of the lottery.
Seabrook was one of four defensemen who played over 1,000 career regular season games from this draft class from 2003 for Chicago. He played his entire career in the NHL in the league in Chicago, including a decade and a half playing in the Windy City until the 2019-20 season.
