2. Ivar Stenberg (Frolunda, Sweden)

In many other draft classes, Swedish winger Ivar Stenberg might be a candidate to be the first overall pick in the draft lottery. But given how loaded this draft class is for 2026 at the top of the draft boards in the lottery, Stenberg might be picked between second and fourth overall in the first round of the 2026 draft lottery this summer.

Given his combination of size, offensive skill, and playmaking, and two-way ability, Stenberg is widely expected to be selected inside the top five picks in the draft lottery in the first round.

1. Gavin McKenna (Penn State, NCAA)

This is the least difficult selection for the top 10 prospects in this draft class on this list. Now-former Penn State Nittany Lions star winger and freshman standout Gavin McKenna is widely expected to be the first overall pick in the 2026 draft lottery in the first round by the Toronto Maple Leafs this upcoming week.

McKenna has the type of elite offensive skill set that could immediately change the trajectory of the Maple Leafs franchise. His combination of skating ability, playmaking, and creativity with the puck on his stick has many scouts viewing him as a franchise cornerstone at the next level.
