5. Sascha Boumedienne (Left Defense)

Sascha Boumedienne spent last season with Boston University and has an intriguing combination of size and speed at 6'1". He was one of the youngest players in the NCAA so there is more projection with him than maybe some other prospects, but he could be a Top 4 defenseman down the road.

The left side of the Kings' defense has some questions, in the short term but also long term as Drew Doughty gets older and Vladislav Gavrikov is set to be a free agent. Boumedienne could be part of the solution if the Kings select him.

5. Cameron Reid (Left Defense)

Cameron Reid looks like a prospect who will be selected somewhere in the 20s of the first round and the Los Angeles Kings should really consider him if he is available when it is their turn to pick. Reid is a well-rounded defenseman who has continued to improve year over year with the Kitchener Rangers.

The Kings defense has some questions long-term after players like Brandt Clarke and Mikey Anderson. Cameron Reid could be one of those answers for the left side of the defense in a few years.
