In less than two weeks, the Los Angeles Kings are scheduled to add seven players to their organization in the 2025 NHL Draft. While they don't have a second-round pick this year, they added a seventh-round pick from the Philadelphia Flyers as part of the Andrei Kuzmenko trade.

This is going to be the first NHL Draft for Ken Holland as general manager of the Kings, and he will need to help a prospect group that doesn't have a ton of talent. This is partially due to the Kings calling up younger players the past few years like Quinton Byfield, Alex Laferriere, Brandt Clarke, and Jordan Spence but also due to some big misses by Rob Blake.

With that in mind, these are the Top 5 prospects currently with the Los Angeles Kings.

5. Martin Chromiak

Without question, this was probably the toughest to pick because after the Top 4 there isn't a clear choice. There is a case to be made for players like Francesco Pinelli, Jakub Dvorak, Otto Salin or Koehn Ziemmer but when there are as many players as there are and no clear choice, that isn't necessarily a good thing.

Martin Chromiak gets the nod here, though, as he showed improvements in his third season with the Ontario Reign. In the first two, he had 28 and 32 points respectively before this season, where he had career-highs in goals (18) and assists (21).

Chromiak was a fifth-round pick by the Kings in the 2020 NHL Draft and just signed a one-year contract with the Kings ahead of being a restricted free agent. However, this coming season feels pivotal, and the Kings are going to need him to build on what he did last season.

If he does, there is a path to the NHL, as the Kings right now could use some help with their offense as early as next season if that improvement is seen.
