The NHL Trade Deadline is less than a week away and the Los Angeles Kings are expected to make a move or two before the Friday deadline. They are a team that currently is in a playoff spot but they really aren't considered serious Stanley Cup contenders at this point.

That certainly could change depending on what they might be able to address in a trade. However, in any trade the Kings will have to give something up. When looking at the roster, these are five players that could be traded ranked based on the likelihood of being moved.

5. Quinton Byfield

Let's start with a player that has been rumored to be discussed in trades, but it is hard to imagine the Los Angeles Kings being willing to trade Quinton Byfield. Recently, Nick Kypreos of SportsNet mentioned Byfield's name is being discussed around the league.

It certainly makes sense for teams to be interested in Byfield as he is a former second overall pick and had 11 assists in just the month of February. He is a player that can play center or on the wing and is under contract through the 2028-29 season.

However, Byfield is going to be a key part of this Kings roster in the coming years as he should replace Anze Kopitar as the team's top center. It would be a short-sighted move and one that doesn't make sense for the Kings.
