While the season didn't end the way fans wanted, when looking at it collectively there was a lot to be excited about for the Los Angeles Kings during the 2024-25 season. They would finish second in the Pacific Division, the first time since the 2015-16 season, with 105 points, which was tied for the franchise record.

When looking at the season as a whole, these were the five players that probably contributed the most to the Kings success this past season.

Who were the five most impactful Los Angeles Kings players in 2024-25?

5. Anze Kopitar

The fifth spot was probably the toughest to pick and it came down to Quinton Byfield and Anze Kopitar. There is no question that Byfield is the future of the LA Kings and will be the team's top center, potentially as soon as next season.

However, for at least this season Kopitar was slightly more impactful. The Kings' center kicked off the season in a big way with a hat trick against the Buffalo Sabres, scoring all three goals in the third period of that game. He would go on to finish second on the team in points with 67 while leading in assists with 46.

One other reason that Kopitar gets the nod here instead of Byfield was he was tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with seven. It remains to be seen how many more seasons Kopitar has in the NHL but he is still a key part of the team for the time being.
