2. Tom Webster

Tom Webster had the least games coached among the coaches on this list after spending three seasons with the team and coaching only 240 games. However, he made the most of the time with the franchise as he was the only coach to lead the Kings to a division title, which they won in the 1990-91 season.

The Kings made the playoffs in each of his three seasons as head coach and more importantly only once were eliminated in the first round. He had 12 playoff wins over those three seasons and has the third best win percentage in the playoffs at .429.

1. Darryl Sutter

In the end, it shouldn't be much surprise who is atop this list of greatest head coaches in franchise history in Darryl Sutter. He joined the team during the 2011-12 season after the Kings fired Terry Murray.

He made an immediate impact as he helped the Kings not only get to the playoffs but as the eight seed, the Kings made an amazing run to their first Stanley Cup where the Kings would beat the Devils in six.

The Kings had more success under Sutter in his second season as they almost made the Stanley Cup Finals again but came up short in the Western Conference Finals. However, the Kings once again led by Sutter could claim to be the best team in the NHL with their second Stanley Cup in the 2013-14 season after beating the Rangers in five.

In total, Sutter has the second-most coached games but the most wins in franchise history, the second highest points percentage at .592 (with Jim Hiller the only one ahead of him). He also owns the most playoff wins (42) and playoff win percentage at .609.
