The Los Angeles Kings 2024-25 season is quickly approaching and just over a month away. This week, the NHL announced their national broadcast schedule and the Kings will have 13 games on national television between ESPN, TNT/MAX, and Hulu.

A majority of these games, eight in total, will be against divisional opponents however these are three games that should be considered must-watch for fans.

3 must-see national broadcast games for the Los Angeles Kings in 2024-25

Los Angeles Kings at Las Vegas Golden Knights (October 22nd)

The Los Angeles Kings are starting the season with a long road trip with seven straight games on the road (11 games if you include the four preseason games before the season) and will be wrapping up their road trip against the Golden Knights.

It will be their second divisional matchup, they play the Anaheim Ducks two days earlier, but the Ducks are not expected to be much of a factor in the race for a playoff spot or the division. However, the Golden Knights certainly should be in contention and these head-to-head matchups could matter, even early in the season.

The fact that this comes at the end of the long road trip doesn't necessarily help the Kings but hopefully have enough energy for a strong showing in their first national broadcast game.

Florida Panthers at Los Angeles Kings (January 22nd)

The next game on this list is at home against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. At this point of the season, the Kings should have a good idea of where they fit within the Western Conference and if playoffs are a real possibility.

However, the goal this season shouldn't just be to reach the playoffs but make a deep run. How they play against the Panthers in this game could be an indication of what is realistic for this team.

Los Angeles Kings at Edmonton Oilers (April 14th)

The final national broadcast game for Kings' fans to circle is actually the second to last game of the regular season. At this point, the playoffs are going to be in full focus and hopefully, for the Kings, they are not necessarily worried about making the playoffs but determining what seed they will be.

This game is particularly notable because it is against a division rival but also against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs in the first round the past three years. The Kings need to get past the Oilers and if by chance they are destined to play them for a fourth straight year, a win could give them some momentum heading into the series.
