The Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, earned a first-round bye in the Calder Cup Playoffs this postseason this spring late this month in late April. Ontario, after a long wait in the first round of the postseason in the playoffs this spring in this past week, knows it will face the in-state Pacific Division foe Coachella Valley Firebirds, who defeated the Bakersfield Condors this past weekend.

Head coach Andrew Lord and the Reign enter the series after a strong regular season in which they totaled 99 points to claim the division crown. The rivalry between the Reign from Ontario and the Seattle Kraken AHL affiliate Coachella Valley has been building on the ice in the Pacific Division in this past few years in the spring.

The matchup marks the second time in the last three years that the Reign and Firebirds have met in the Calder Cup Playoffs, continuing a growing rivalry between the two Pacific Division clubs.

Ontario will look to key offensive contributors such as forwards Andre Lee and Jared Wright as it begins its pursuit of a Calder Cup title.

Here's a look at the TV/streaming information, start time, and radio broadcast information for the matchup between the Reign and Firebirds in the second round of the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs, starting this upcoming week on Wednesday, April 29, on home ice at Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.
