The Los Angeles Kings AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, now officially know what their schedule for the 2026-27 season looks like.

The American Hockey League released its full regular season schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign, giving Kings and Reign fans a better idea of when the organization's top prospects and fan favorites will begin another year of development. We also know now which stretches of the schedule could be crucial for the race for the Calder Cup Playoffs this upcoming season.

Right from the get go this fall, the Reign face a tough challenge in the Pacific Division, which can help to set the tone for the rest of the regular season in the division. With how often the Reign face their division foes this upcoming season, that will help to determine how the Calder Cup playoff picture can shape up.

Ontario opens up the upcoming 2026-27 season with a home-and-home series against the Pacific Division foe Coachella Valley Firebirds on Oct. 2 and 3. The Reign will travel to face the Firebirds on the road at Acrisure Arena in Coachella Valley on Friday, Oct. 2. And then in the back end of the back-to-back home-and-home series, the Reign will host the Firebirds in the home opener at Toyota Arena in Ontario on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Games against Pacific Division foes like Coachella Valley and the San Diego Gulls will define the regular season for the Reign because of how important those head-to-head matchups are.

Ontario faces a couple of key Pacific Division foes in the regular season's first three games this fall. Not only do the Reign face the Firebirds in back-to-back home-and-home games to kick off the regular season, but the next two games for Ontario come against Coachella Valley and San Diego on Oct. 11 and 14, respectively.

This upcoming season will give the top prospects in the Kings' organization the chance to take the next step in their development to see the next wave of talent work their way up under head coach Andrew Lord. Each key stretch of the regular season schedule will be another big opportunity for prospects to get more consideration from the Kings as the season moves along.

Ontario finished this past regular season with a Pacific Division crown after posting a stellar record of 47-20-3-2 (99 points). The Reign were defeated in the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2026 by the three-seed Coachella Valley.
