Alot of miscues kept this game close

Thankfully the Los Angeles Kings had Darcy Kuemper in the net against the Flyers because this game could have gone the other direction with all the miscues the Kings had. This was a very uncharacteristically sloppy game almost across the board for the team and it feels like the Kings stole a win here.

Whether it was Anze Kopitar turning the puck over in the Kings' zone and right in front of the net (which thankfully didn't result in a goal) to the Kings losing Tyson Forester in front of the net (which did end up in a goal), it just felt like the Kings were off.

One play in particular that stood out was in the second period, with the Kings up 2-1 defenseman Jordan Spence had an awful turnover that the Flyers were able to convert and tie the game up. It seemed like the Kings had some momentum with an early goal in the second period but the Flyers were able to tie it up and kept it pretty close until midway through the third period.

These miscues definitely kept the game closer than it should have been. The good news is that this has not been typical for this team and hopefully is not the start of something bigger.
