The Los Angeles Kings remained in the state of Pennsylvania after playing on Tuesday night with a game tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers. They were coming off an overtime loss against the Penguins in a game that it felt like they should have won.

However, tonight it seemed the roles were reversed as the Kings didn't have their best game until the final period. In the first two periods, the Kings would get a lead but the Flyers were able to respond pretty quickly and end that momentum.

Entering the third period, the Kings and Flyers were tied at three before Los Angeles added four goals to put the game out of reach. These were four takeaways from the Los Angeles Kings win over the Flyers.

Los Angeles Kings continue to get on the scoreboard first

One of the reasons for the recent success of the Los Angeles Kings has been their ability to get on the board first. On Tuesday night against the Penguins, it took less than a minute for the Kings to get their first goal of the night.

In the game against the Flyers, it took a little bit longer but they still would score the first game of the night after Kevin Fiala was able to get past the defense after a nice pass from Phillip Danault. This is now the sixth straight game that the Kings have scored first and are 4-1-1 over that stretch.
