Los Angeles Kings don't let the loss linger against the Rangers

In addition to Quinton Byfield, one of the more frustrating things with this Los Angeles Kings team, and why some question if they are as good as their record says, is that they struggle against the teams they should beat. They have seemingly played to the level of their opponent with wins over Minnesota, Dallas, Vegas and Winnipeg but with losses to Ottawa, Buffalo, San Jose (twice), and Chicago.

After keeping it close with the New Jersey Devils, this felt like one of those games where the Kings would come out flat and let the Rangers hang around. In those instances, the Kings have lost those types of games and with this being a long road trip a loss here could snowball on them.

However, that wasn't the case and it was great to see them come out with intensity right from the start. It seemed like this group was determined to make the point that they were not going to let the loss carry over into this game and wanted to make the statement that they can not only win these types of games but to do so in a dominant fashion.
