Alex Turcotte should not be on the fourth line

With Trevor Moore out, Jim Hiller moved Alex Turcotte up to the first line to play left wing alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. He has played in this spot previously but today against the Rangers he looked like he never left.

Turcotte would have the first goal of the game and then add an assist later in the game to finish with his first multi-point game of the season. When the Kings shifted their lines after the Sharks game, Turcotte was moved down to the fourth line and didn’t have a game with more than 12 minutes of ice time during the past seven games.

However, in this game, he would play over 17 minutes and was making an impact with this line. In the end, this is easier said than done because the second and third lines have been playing pretty well and keeping Alex Turcotte on the top line means shuffling the other lines or moving Trevor Moore down to the fourth line and neither option is really ideal.
