The Los Angeles Kings don't appear to be slowing down any time soon and after scoring five goals against the New York Rangers, it appears they may be on their way to another high scoring night.

The Kings are playing the Pittsburgh Penguins and were able to get on the board just 33 seconds into the game. After winning the opening faceoff, the Kings quickly advanced the puck and were doing a great job keeping control of the puck until Anze Kopitar took the puck behind the net and found Adrian Kempe waiting in front for the first goal of the game.

Both Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe are on quite the hot streak right now. For Adrian Kempe, he has seven goals in the past 11 games and is currently leading the Los Angeles Kings in the category with 16 on the season.

As for Anze Kopitar, he has 11 assists in the past 11 games and he not only is leading the Kings in assists with 35 on the season but also in points with 35. He remains on pace to set a career-high in points, which is remarkable considering his career and the fact that he is 37 years old this season.

Los Angeles Kings need to keep pressure on Alex Nedelijkovic

When looking at this game, the one thing that stood out was that the Pittsburgh Penguins gave up the second most shots in the NHL and also the second most goals per game. It was important for the Kings to get out to an early lead but they can't let up.

It will be important for the Kings forwards to continue to keep getting the puck on net and try to create a mess in front that will allow them to sneak a couple more goals in.
