LA Kings have lots of questions with little time to find answers after Sharks' loss

2) Can they fix the power play and how do they do it?

The power play unit has been an absolutely disaster and the Kings seemingly can't find the right solution. They currently rank near the bottom of the league with a power play percentage under 15% and any positive momentum they gained Saturday with Quinton Byfield's goal should be gone and that should be considered a one-time thing versus a long-term solve.

The Kings tried a five forward look for the power play top unit and they need to shuffle things around and make some changes. One of those changes has to be getting Brandt Clarke on the top unit as he is probably their best offensive defenseman and not having him on this unit is hard to understand.

I would move Kevin Fiala off the top unit and replace him with Brandt Clarke and move forward with this group until Drew Doughty is able to return.

3) Is it time to shake up the second line?

The Los Angeles Kings second line has not been producing as of late and it is time to maybe make some changes here. The line of Kevin Fiala-Phillip Danault-Trevor Moore were combined -3 on Monday against the San Jose Sharks but their struggles go well beyond that.

In fact, in the last six games, these three players have combined for one goal and five assists with Moore accounting for the goal and three of the assists. There struggles have certainly not been limited to this one game but it definitely was magnified.

This last game against the San Jose Sharks is one that is hard to ignore and there needs to be some kind of changes made and shuffling the lines would make a lot of sense, particularly this second line.
