The Los Angeles Kings are coming off one of their worst losses of the season, a 5-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins where they were never really competitive from start to finish. Jim Hiller doesn't appear to be wasting any time in terms of shaking things up and at practice on Tuesday made some notable changes.

According to Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty, these were the lines that the Kings used at practice.

The top lines for both forwards and defense remained the same with Alex Turcotte alongside Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. Meanwhile on defense it was Mikey Anderson and Vladislav Gavrikov but it remains to be seen how long that will last with the eventual return of Drew Doughty, who once again practiced in a red jersey.

After these lines, the Kings really shuffled the lines and it started at forward with Akil Thomas playing alongside Phillip Danualt and Kevin Fiala. Thomas hasn't played much this season with only 16 games and hasn't been on the ice since December 28th.

It will be interesting to see if the Kings stick with Thomas there or he will be replaced by Alex Laferriere, who is dealing with an injury and could return soon. The third line has Trevor Moore joining Warren Foegele and Quinton Byfield, who have been playing with Tanner Jeannot as of late. Jeannot is on the fourth line with Samuel Helenius and Trevor Lewis.

On defense, the Kings flip the pairings as Jacob Moverare was next to Brandt Clarke while Joel Edmundson moves down to be paired with Jordan Spence.

Will the Los Angeles Kings stick with the 11/7 roster split?

One of the things the Los Angeles Kings have done as of late is during the games have gone with 11 forwards and seven defensemen. However, with the recent struggles Hiller may elect to go with a standard 12/6 split as another way to shake up the roster and hopefully get the Kings back on the winning track.
