The LA Kings might have a chance to look into their future next season while watching the London Knights and see a defensive pair they might use down the road in Jared Woolley, who was a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, and first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, Henry Brzustewicz.

After the Kings traded back in the first round, they selected Brzustewicz with the 31st overall pick. He has played the past two seasons with the London Knights in the OHL and in 119 regular season games he has 12 goals and 36 assists. Brzustewicz also has played in 33 playoff games with three goals and five assists.

Woolley played 68 games with the London Knights last season, but was not paired with Brzustewicz, and in those games had nine goals and 19 assists while adding nine points in 16 playoff games.

LA Kings should be excited to see Henry Brzustewicz and Jared Woolley playing next to each other next season

Shortly after the Kings selected Brzustewicz on Friday night, he met with the media and said that his best friend Jared Woolley was in attendance with him at the NHL Draft. It had to be an exciting moment to get drafted to the same franchise that your best friend was drafted by the previous year.

However, he also gave some insight on what to expect next season on the London Knights and said that the plan is for Brzustewicz and Woolley to play on the same line.

This has to be exciting to hear for the LA Kings, as this gives these two players a chance to get familiar with one another. They can gain valuable ice time playing next to each other, and when they move over to the AHL and eventually the NHL, they can just keep building on what they have done in the OHL.
