The NHL Trade Deadline is quickly approaching and the Los Angeles Kings are expected to be buyers at the deadline. They have had an excellent month, moving up to second place in the Pacific Division, but if they want to win the division or even get out of the first round, they probably are going to need to add another player or two.

One team that the Kings might want to call about working out a trade is the Boston Bruins, especially after recent comments by Brad Marchand. On Thursday night, after the Bruins' 2-1 loss to the New York Islanders, it seemed like Marchand was looking towards next season.

While the Bruins have now lost five straight, it certainly is surprising to see something like this from a leader of a team in February, especially being only four points out of the Wild Card. If the Bruins' front office has the same mindset as Marchand, then they may be looking to make a trade with the future in mind.

Justin Brazeau will be a great addition for the Los Angeles Kings

The player that was going to generate the most buzz at the NHL Trade Deadline was likely to be center Trent Frederic. However, he is dealing with an injury that will have him miss a few weeks. He certainly could still be moved but teams might not be as aggressive since Frederic may not really help until playoff time.

For the Los Angeles Kings, the player that makes a lot of sense is Justin Brazeau, and he is someone the Bruins might want to trade as he is in the final year of his contract. In 54 games, he has 10 goals and 10 assists, but four of those goals were on power play, which should be a focus for the Kings to improve. He also shoots right-handed, which is something the Kings could use to balance out the forward group.

When considering he also has a very reasonable contract that has a cap hit of only $775,000, this is a move that might not make big headlines but could have a big impact on the Kings' offense.
