Of all the teams in the Los Angeles Kings franchise history, the Ottawa Senators are one of the teams they have played the fewest. Entering the 2024-25 season, only the Seattle Kraken, Vegas Golden Knights, Florida Panthers, and the current Winnipeg Jets have played fewer games against the Kings.
In total, the Kings and Senators have played 45 career games against each other and the good news is that the Kings hold a sizable lead in the series history. The current record before the 2024-25 season stood at 28-13-2 with two additional ties.
One of the reasons for the big lead is that the Los Angeles Kings have dominated this season as of late. Entering the 2024-25 season, the Kings won six of their last seven meetings between the two teams and the only loss was an overtime loss in the 2022 season.
Los Angeles Kings and Ottawa Senators have two games scheduled in the 2024-25 season
For the 2024-25 season, the Kings and the Senators are set to play twice and unfortunately for Los Angeles their first meeting was also an overtime loss. It was definitely a game they should have won as they had a two-goal lead on two separate occasions in the second period.
However, the Senators would storm back in both instances and it would be tied at seven after three periods. Ottawa would get the last laugh with an overtime goal and secure the win while the Kings would end up with only one point.
The Kings have another game scheduled at the end of November and won't play the Senators again unless by some weird occurrence the two teams met in the Stanley Cup with the Senators in the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference and the Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference.
