Adrian Kempe

Outside of the next player, Adrian Kempe has been the Los Angeles Kings' best forward this season. He currently leads the team in goals with 20 while adding 19 assists, which is tied for second. Kempe is on pace for his second career 40-goal season and that is due in large part to a career-high shot percentage of 17.2%.

The only reason that Kempe doesn't receive a grade of 'A' is because of the power play performance to date. He currently has only two power play goals and this is the area the Kings should be focusing on because that might end up being the difference between advancing in the playoffs and another first round exit.

Grade: A-

Anze Kopitar

Similar to Adrian Kempe, the performance of the power play unit pulls Anze Kopitar's grade down slightly. However, that shouldn't take away from what has been a remarkable performance this season from the team's captain.

At 37 years old, he is leading the Kings in assists with 28 and points with 40 and is on pace for his first 80+ point season since the 2017-18 season. He began the season with a hat trick against the Buffalo Sabres and has continued that momentum all the way through.
