The Los Angeles Kings (2-3-2). got a critical win to build momentum to start this five-game road trip in the Western Conference early this week on Tuesday night against the St. Louis Blues. Jim Hiller and the Kings are in Game 2 of a challenging road trip in the West this week, including a tough challenger tonight (Oct. 23) at American Airlines Center against the Dallas Stars (3-3-0).

It looks like the Kings and Hiller could be getting some good news in the lineup in the near future. Center captain Anze Kopitar has reportedly been practicing with the team this week on the road trip in the West after suffering a lower-body injury this past week on the road vs. the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 13.

Zach Dooley of LA Kings Insider reported on Oct. 22 that Kopitar was in the full non-contact jersey in practice for the team on Wednesday.

The Kings got some big pieces back in the lineup on Tuesday night in the 2-1 overtime win over the Blues in St. Louis. Starting goalie Darcy Kuemper and veteran forward Corey Perry were both in the lineup for Hiller and the Kings in the win over the Blues a couple of days ago this week.
